Meet Sharon Gandy, M.Ed, DT(IL)

Our Developmental Therapist(IL)/Child Development Specialist, Sharon Gandy, M.Ed., DT(IL) received her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Illinois-Chicago in 2017. She holds an Illinois Professional Educator License with endorsements in Early Childhood General and Special Education Birth-8 years, and is fully credentialed in Developmental Therapy and Early Intervention in Illinois.

Sharon has worked across a variety of settings including hospitals, outpatient clinics, schools, daycares, and homes. Sharon’s Developmental Therapist National Provider Identification (NPI) number is: 1831745058

As a native Texan, Sharon is excited to be back in Austin and running this practice! Since the state of Texas does not provide DT as a discipline at this time, Sharon will be operating as a Child Development Specialist, in accordance with her M.Ed, clinical practice years, and CEUs across all developmental domains.

Sharon is trained and experienced in working within diverse family systems. From sizes and schedules, to cultures and values, all families are completely different and deserve customized plans and methods. Her approach takes into consideration specific family needs, goals, and values when creating treatment plans for your child.
